Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator stampwithpeg – Mum, you inspire me : Playful Sweet Sugarplum hearts.

I love to use things that inspire me for my ideas when crafting, and one of the main inspirations in my life was my mum. Sadly I lost her to cancer 22 years ago, but I have her to thank for the person I am and just making this card felt like I was doing it for her. Remember it doesn’t have to be Mothers day or a birthday to give someone you love a card, just give them one for any reason you like and it will make their day. If like me you can’t give the card in person, make it and put it on display, smile and remember good times.

I wanted the background paper to blend in rather than stand out which is why I chose this lovely Blushing Bride design from the Playful Palette DSP stack. I used Blushing Bride for the cardbase and added a layer of Sweet Sugarplum, I just love the name of that ink I call my children sugarplum all the time and they are very sweet so it makes me smile everytime I use it.

I stamped Mum using the Layered Letters Alphabet stamp set, and the You inspire me was from the Thoughtful Banners Stamp set.

I added a doily and some Sweet Sugarplum ribbon before adding the ‘Mum’, then stamped and punched out 5 butterflies before adding them to my card along with the sentiment.

Of course I had to add some gorgeous little Sweet Sugarplum hearts, they are too nice not to.
